The next generation of students does not need to cross a border to find the world. For the first time, it is the world that is willing to come to them.

— The promise of Transnational Education

The Opportunity In Sixty Seconds

Transnational Education is redrawing global higher education.

Instead of sending students abroad, universities now export the classroom. Programs are delivered through local partners in the student's own country. Credentials are international. Costs are local. Margins are healthier than on the home campus. The market is already past fifty billion dollars and growing in double digits across most regions.

Why this conversation, why now

Restrictive visa policies in the US, UK and Canada are pushing universities to deliver where students already live. Middle class families across Latin America, Africa and Asia want international credentials but can no longer afford to study abroad. The window for first mover positioning with a curated international portfolio is open right now. In twenty four months, several large groups in each target market will already have moved.

The Forces We Work With

What we do, in plain words.

Nexa TNE makes one thing easy. We move accredited programs from where they were built to where they are needed, and we run the operation so neither side has to.

01 · Northbound

We open new revenue for international universities.

Universities in Canada, the United States and Europe partner with us to extend their accredited programs into markets they cannot serve at scale on their own. No branch campus. No capital at risk. Distribution in months, not years.

02 · Southbound

We bring curated international portfolios to local institutions.

Education groups and universities in Latin America, Africa and Asia partner with us to add international credentials to their existing portfolio. The local brand stays. The local enrolment engine stays. The international credential travels.

03 · In Between

We are the integrator that keeps both sides aligned.

One office. One contract. One quarterly cadence. We handle translation, governance, accreditation interface, financial reconciliation, currency exposure and dispute resolution. Both sides have a single phone to call.

The Architecture

A three party model with one integrator in the middle.

Cross border education partnerships do not fail on academic fit. They fail on operational drag. We built Nexa TNE to remove the drag.

The People Behind The Work

Two operators. Three decades of cross border education between them.

Cross border partnerships are won and lost on operational integration, not on academic content. Nexa TNE is led by two people who have spent their careers doing exactly that work.

Mauricio Segura
Mauricio Segura

Co-Founder & Co-CEO · Nexa TNE

Brazilian, Australian and New Zealander. Co-founder of Spiible, a digital agency built around international student recruitment, and of GlobalCamps, a platform connecting some of the strongest schools in Brazil with international education programs.

Educated and trained across ten countries including Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Sweden and Norway.

Named among the Emerging Leaders of the Americas by The PIE, the global editorial reference for international education. The distinction recognises a short list of leaders shaping the future of international education across the hemisphere.

Mauricio runs the integration office out of São Paulo. He combines cultural fluency in both Latin America and the Anglo Saxon education systems with the operational depth needed to keep cross border partnerships running on a daily basis.

Bernardo Riveros
Bernardo Riveros

Co-Founder & Co-CEO · Nexa TNE

Born in Colombia, thirty years in Canada building bridges between international education and Latin American business strategy.

Co-founder of ILAC and Executive Director for eighteen years before joining Global University Systems as Director of International Strategy. Named among the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants in 2018 for his work in philanthropy and immigrant advocacy.

Bernardo connects Nexa TNE directly to the institutional core of the GUS network. That alignment removes the governance friction that historically slows cross border initiatives between institutions.

Operational simplicity, one office. Institutional depth, direct alignment with the senior leadership of the GUS network.

Two Sides Of The Same Network

We work with two kinds of institution.

Card 01

If you are a university or college

You built a credential. We help it travel.

You have an accredited program with strong outcomes. You are watching domestic enrolment soften and visa policy tighten. Your board wants new revenue without raising domestic tuition.

We extend your program into markets you cannot serve at scale on your own. Latin America. Africa. Asia. No branch campus. No capital at risk. Distribution through partners we vet, contracts we structure, operations we run.

Partner with us as a source institution

Card 02

If you are a local education group

You built distribution. We bring the credentials.

You have campuses, an enrolment engine, a regulator relationship and a brand that students trust. What you are missing in your portfolio is internationally branded credentials that your competitors cannot replicate.

We bring a curated international portfolio into your existing offer. You keep the student. You keep the local brand. You add a category of differentiation that takes years to build alone.

Timing

The wave is already moving.

India has received more than a dozen foreign campuses since 2025.

Vietnam, Malaysia and the Gulf countries were the stories of the decade before that.

The Latin American chapter is being written right now.

Colombia, Mexico and Peru have already seen first movers.

The first one or two large groups in each market to lock in a curated international portfolio will own a category that no domestic competitor will replicate during the next decade. The cost of waiting is structural, not incremental.

Next Step

A sixty minute working session.

Bring an executive sponsor and one academic or program lead. We bring a curated shortlist of programs aligned to your market or institution. The session produces a clear read on fit and, if both sides see it, a Letter of Intent and a scoping window.
